'My Wishes' presentations - Available for community talks
Reaching out to the community
with the help of Barry Town Council
I was delighted that Cherished Memories was chosen to be a recipient of a Small Business Grant from Barry Town Council.
This grant will go to help fund informative, engaging talks and presentations within the local community on the subject of making funerals and memorial services more personal and illustrate how friends and family can contribute to the special day.
The talks will also highlight how important it is for us to think about our own wishes too.
“It is so important that we communicate what our own wishes are to those close to us so that when the time comes, they are not left with the extra anguish of wondering if they chose the right music, the right charity for donations or even the most basic of decisions; burial or cremation. Through the talks I'm hoping to chip away at the taboo that talking about funerals has become. Once you've made your wishes known you can get on with living your life to the fullest.”

I have already been a guest speaker for the ladies at the Sully WI group. “A number of ladies came up after my presentation to ask questions and tell me their experiences. I hope these talks encourage people to carry on the conversation at home with their loved ones and with it, bring some peace of mind for the future.”
Future talks are already in the calendar for 2019 and Ceri-Lou is available as a guest speaker at other local groups, tailoring the content to any audience.
